Wedding Dresses With Color
A Pop of Color on Your Wedding Day
A new trend has been well accepted by brides. Although it seems to go against tradition, it has become very popular. It used to be that brides would wear all white or creamy white in their wedding day to symbolize purity and virginity and for the longest, brides wore an all white dress. Now, it is perfectly acceptable to wear variations of white, as well as to include some colors in your wedding dress. This may be due to changes in modern times, where virginity is not regarded as the ultimate goal, or maybe just fashion evolution, but whatever the reason for wearing color on your wedding day, it is definitely a fashionable trend that will stay.
Some brides have opted for wearing appliqués of a favorite color on their wedding gown. It could be a ribbon a bow, jewels, pearls, or rhinestones, even a section of the dress on a different color. Other brides like to make a statement and opt to wear a silver or champagne wedding dress, or a soft pink wedding gown. The gown can be as simple or as elaborated as they like. Sometimes, the bride will match the color appliqués to the bridesmaid's dresses.
Other brides decide to take a bolder approach and wear a bold and bright wedding dress in colors such as red and even black. Gold is another favorite of many trendy brides.
If you do not want to be as bold on your wedding day, but will like to wear a pop of color, and at the same time please your traditional parents, you can opt for a beautiful and ornate white or cream gown with a cascade of pale pink roses appliqués or jewels, or any other subtle pastel color that will scream femininity, although not as loud.
Your wedding day is your day, and the wedding dress is the most important item that you only get to wear once. It is all right to wear the dream gown that will make you happy on your special day.
